Upholding Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s mission of “Service to All Mankind”, we are committed to implementing the initiatives set forth by Alpha Kappa Alpha President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed:

  • Build Our Economic Legacy

  • Enhance Our Environment

  • Advocate for Social Justice

  • Uplift Our Local Community

It is a privilege to serve as the 2024-2025 President of the Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, and when I reflect on our previous leaders, I am inspired and humbled by the opportunity to serve in this role. We are a dynamic and dedicated group of women, who together, will continue to inspire service, action, and leadership throughout Baltimore County.

As servant leaders, we recognize the importance of promoting and inspiring collective action. Our goal is to foster an environment of service, answer the call to action, and model inclusion and compassion for ourselves, each other, and members of our community.

Fellow members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, I hope you will join us in “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” as we deepen our impact throughout Baltimore County by promoting civic engagement and persisting in service.

Thank you,

Nakiya N. Showell-Bart, MD, MPH, MHS
